Meet Hailie, a youth participating in our Keys to Success (KTS) program.
When Hailie joined KTS last September, she was already an honors student in her senior year of high school. She had already applied for admission to the University of Arizona, hoping to study in either the biomedical research field or possibly law. She needed help navigating through the many steps needed to ensure her goals for her future were on track.
Keys to Success Program in Phoenix
Keys to Success helped Hailie with paying for her AP tests and prep materials, as well as with graduation expenses that weren’t covered by the state. Once she was accepted into the U of A, her career development specialist connected her to our post-secondary scholarship manager. Working together, KTS helped her with scholarship applications and post-secondary funding. In fact, Hailie was awarded a $10,000 scholarship as a Horatio Alger State scholar from her high school.
To get a head start on her future, Hailie recently moved to Tucson into her first apartment. Once again, Keys to Success was there to help her purchase apartment essentials, such as towels, dishes, shower curtain, etc.
On the Path
Thanks to the connections she made through the KTS program, Hailie has a great start on her path to a successful future. And we can’t wait to see what unfolds for this bright, young woman!
