It Means a Lot

Every day, the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation changes the story for children in foster care by funding a variety of activities and items. We know what we do matters, but sometimes we don’t realize just HOW much it matters until we receive letters from the kids themselves. Like 16 year-old Angelina, for whom we paid for out-of-state theme park admission.

“Thank you so much for paying for my trip to California. It means a lot, with all the bad that has happened. It is really nice to finally get a break from all the court and all of that.

It’s Hard to Stay a Kid

As a 16 year-old in foster care, it’s hard to stay a kid. This foundation is really amazing. It just helps the world a little bit at a time, or at least us kids who have been through some things. I’m very excited for my trip. Without you, I probably wouldn’t get to go.

Thank you for doing this. I’m sure you know how cold the world can be. I’m not saying thank you just for paying for my trip, but THANK YOU for helping out kids like me and for trying to just add a little bit of happiness in our lives. It truly does mean so much. I know when I’m older, I’ll help out the kids who can’t afford it, or a child that’s in foster care.”

Make a Meaningful Gift

It doesn’t take a lot to change the story for kids in care. It can be as simple as paying for a theme park admission ticket. Make a Foster Care Tax Credit Donation to AFFCF. You have until April 15, 2020 to count your donation on your 2019 Arizona state taxes. You can get a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona state taxes, up to $500 for individuals and up to $1,000 for couples.
