If foster care tax credits aren’t incentive enough to support Arizona kids, how about creative gourmet sliders from Phoenix’s best food trucks? The 6th Annual Slider Throwdown will be Sunday, Nov 12 and you don’t want to miss it. Here are last year’s winners to get your mouth watering:
Best Slider, As Judged By Food Critics
Aoili Burger took the contest by storm, winning both the People’s Choice and Judges prizes in 2015. In 2016, their offering wowed the food critics again. The Italiano features mozzarella cheese melted over tomato and pancetta, seasoned with garlic-basil aoli and drizzled with basalmic reduction. Mangia!
People’s Choice Award Slider
Chicken and Waffles For the People lived up to its name in 2016, bringing home the People’s Choice Award for its creative and delicious rendition on the theme. Fluffy waffles served as buns containing perfectly seasoned, crispy chicken.
Who Will Win 2017?
This year’s lineup brings returning champion Aoili Burger along with a host of local Phoenix food trucks:

Tickets are $30 per person, which includes one slider from each of the participating trucks. Proceeds benefit Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, and you’ll also be able to enjoy:
